Jordan Brand 2015 Remastering
Strongly criticized in recent years, the quality of retro Air Jordan appears to have recently reached a critical stage, so much so that a U turn is going on at Jordan Brand. Interviewed by our colleagues from Sole Collector, Dave Schechter and Jeff Atienza come officially to announce the complete remastering of the retro line for 2015 with quality criteria largely revised upwards.
Concretely, this increase in quality will result in premium materials closer to OG models. New molds will readjust shapes which had deteriorated over time. Refinement and details will be largely revised upwards. These improvements will unfortunately have a price for Jumpman fans, it will take between 10% and 15% increase in selling price.
This renewal will be palpable from the first quarter of 2015 and will be part of the celebrations of the 30 years of the brand and will also mark the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan 7.
The first models to benefit from this upgrade will be the Air Jordan 7 including reissue of the Jordan 7 “French Blue” and the famous Jordan 7 “Hare”. Will follow the Air Jordan 4, with two long-awaited reissues, both Retro + colorways from 1999, the ‘Columbia’ and ‘Oreo’. The Air Jordan 10 will also be remastered and given a new red and black colorway.
These changes called from Michael Jordan himself and claimed by many sneaker addicts for several years therefore come to the point. Let us know your opinion on this major change by using the comments section!
